There really is not effective treatment for narcissism—as a personality disorder, it is much too deeply ingrained.
There is an old saying in mental health circles that no narcissist will ever get therapy, but he will drive 4 other people to it.
Some are treated with meds for underlying depression or anxiety but narcissists can’t tolerate the slightest discomfort from any side effects so they aren’t very dependable with that.
Self medication via drugs/alcohol is common, tho.
