Couple things the story didn’t mention.
Do you suppose when the kid came down the steps and ‘met the business end’ of a weapon, did he suddenly have a warm fuzzy feeling in his hind parts?

For what it's worth, that guy doesn't look like an ordinary burglar, who's just out to rob you of your possessions. He looks like someone who has just learned how to get off on violating people's private spaces, and will graduate to bigger and better things some day.
