To: Rammer; downwdims; Manic_Episode

I agree with you Rammer on trying to educate people (it is futile). Unfortunately, the uneducated folks are the ones who might ultimately get MMA banned. So I admire downwdims for trying.

I definitely think boxing is more dangerous because you are pretty consistently striking an opponent in the head over a significant length of time. Still, I wouldn’t advocate the banning of boxing either. MMA is like boxing in the sense that people are convinced that the competitors are really trying to seriously hurt or kill one another. It is usually the complete opposite. I think you “get” certain sports or you don’t.

Yeah, I have to think about the Nazis that would ban the sport.

As long as I can fight though, I don’t care if people are too ignorant to know what they are talking about.

The sport has enough fans now to continue and will probably keep growing. I don’t worry too much about people like those on this thread that don’t have a clue what they are talking about. As long as they can’t stop me from training and fighting, I don’t care what they think.

MMA’s not going to get banned, it’s to mainstream now.

Hell we are 6-12 months away from a UFC in Madison Square Garden
