As we first reported last week, in an article that was met with much original skepticism, the Pentagon has now confirmed that a fleet of 12 warships has passed the Suez Canal, and is now likely awaiting orders to support the escalation in the Persian Gulf. The attached image from Stratfor shows the latest positioning of US aircraft carrier groups as of June 23: the USS Harry Truman (CVN-75) is now right next to USS Eisenhower (CVN 69), both of which are waiting patiently just off Iran.
As for the catalyst the two carriers may be anticipating, we provide the following update from the Gulf Daily News where we read that Israel may be on the verge of an attack of Iran, with an incursion originating from military bases in Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Israel is massing warplanes in the Caucasus for an attack on Iran, it was revealed yesterday.
Preparations are underway to launch the military attack from Azerbaijan and Georgia, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej, quoting military sources.
Israel was, in fact, training pilots in Turkey to launch the strike and was smuggling planes into Georgia using Turkish airspace, they said.
However, Turkey was unaware of Israel's intention of transferring the planes to Georgia, the sources said.
The unexpected crisis between Israel and Turkey following an Israeli commando raid on an aid flotilla bound for Gaza Strip hit Israeli calculations.
Azerbaijan-based intelligence units, working under the cover of technicians, trainers and consultants, have helped with the preparations, the sources said.
Military equipment, mostly supplied by the US, was transported to a Georgian port via the Black Sea.
Georgian coastguard and Israeli controllers are co-operating to hide the operations from Russian vessels, said the sources.
They point out that according to Israel, it will not be in a position to launch a strike on Iran without using bases in Georgia and Azerbaijan due to the limited capabilities of its nuclear submarines stationed near the Iranian coast.
Meanwhile, Iran's Press TV reported that a very large contingent of US ground forces had massed in Azerbaijan, near the Iranian border. The independent Azerbaijani news website Trend confirmed the report.
Those reports came just days after the Pentagon confirmed that an unusually large fleet of US warships had indeed passed through Egypt's Suez Canal en route to the Gulf. At least one Israeli warship reportedly joined the American armada.
Press TV also quoted Iranian Revolultionary Guard Brigadier General Mehdi Moini as saying that the country's forces are mobilised and ready to face Israelli and American "misadventures" near its borders.

We caution readers to take this news with a grain of salt as the Gulf Daily News' sister publication, Akhbar Al Khaleej, has a slightly less than stellar credibility rating. Then again, this is what some, Breaking News Online most notably, said about last week's carrier news, urging readers to ignore it.
Mao Zedong was an ally of sorts during WWII. The OSS helped arm and supply Mao, as well as offer intel. That is well documented. Heck, even Wikipedia has that information in it. But I’m not sure that rises to the level of “The CIA, working for the global elites, put Mao the puppet in power.”

Yes, it would. I don’t think he would attack Israeli jets, but placing them there and telling Israel not to attack is an attempt to prevent Israel from acting, for fear of fracturing their alliance with their most important ally. He might also warn Iran that Israeli jets are coming.

I have been deployed there repeatedly in my 22 years in the USN. The TWO carriers are doing routine scheduled turnover. We do not gap the carriers in the IO.
The gators are also standard mix and standard scheduled turnover for the ESG/MEU that is CENTCOM’s reserve. The big deck gator is not a carrier capable of significant strikes on Iran.
Every time there is a carrier turnover for the last 6 years, there is a press claim that we are about to strike. Debeka always makes this claim. So do the Russian and Iranian press. And oil prices go up.
This is BS propaganda to prop up the oil prices which are looking to slide down again. The source is oil exporting countries. When you see 4 CVNs in the IO, and the PG empties out of all major USN units, then you can cry wolf.
This is normal levels of activity, not a build-up. It is normal for there to be a CVBG and an ESG in the IO. It is normal for them to turnover every 4-6 months. Been there and done that many times...
Of course, I know that these things are normally going to happen, but one thing that doesn't normally happen at the same time, is the accounts of what Israel is doing at the same time, along with Israel's own firm word on the matter that they are not going to allow Iran to have nuclear weapons, because they know it's a threat to their "very survival" ... and since Iran has made it clear that they would like to eliminate Israel.
So, while the U.S. may have been doing these things regularly for years -- it hasn't dovetailed with Israel's need to eliminate Iran's threat -- in the past.
I think you have to take many other things into consideration here ... :-)
It's that I just don't have the military background to comment intelligently; that's why I put great credence in those who have the background.

When Carrier Strike Groups transit the Suez, it's no secret. When they transit Bab el-Mandeb, it's no secret. When they transit Hormuz, it's no secret. They're huge. They can be spotted from land and from air all the while trying to dodge the countless fishing dhows and cargo ships in the area. And every fisherman, deckhand and goat-herder living in a tent has got a cell phone these days. They all know where we're going.
AND... you might want to call up the Pentagon -- and advise them to not go "confirming" those details to the press, then ... if they want to keep it secret ... LOL ... I'm sure they were quite unaware of it getting out to the public ...
The documents spelled out how at key points, funds and other support was given to Mao to insure he would rise to power and win over the Nationalists.

That's true that we don't "know". The point of these stories (for us, at least) is that we are made aware of what is happening and then we can watch for other details more closely to see if other things that are happening may be relevant and related to this sequence of events.
It's like a puzzle when you gather up all the pieces. In the beginning it's not as clear as to what you've got. But, when you start putting more of the pieces together, then you "get a picture" that you can see.
We're seeing if there is a picture that can be "pieced together" here, as we watch for more details to come out, in the near future.

Don't worry about it, I'm not here to monopolize your time. I just tend to discount things that only exist in rumor and innuendo. I've read the end of The Book and whether or not the CIA supported Mao doesn't change it.

This is a normal turnover off the coast of Pakistan where they are supporting operations in Afghanistan. Well out of position and well understrength.

However, This excerpt from a book about an evil global society doesn't say a peep about an evil global society directing the rise of Mao. Interesting anecdote but doesn't support the theory.
