Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold voted against the Senate version of the Wall Street reform bill last month and now says he will again oppose the measure when the conference report is put up for a vote.
“As I have indicated for some time now, my test for the financial regulatory reform bill is whether it will prevent another crisis," Feingold said in a released statement. "The conference committee's proposal fails that test and for that reason I will not vote to advance it."

Probably feeling pressure from Johnson.
I don’t think much of Feingold - his work to get around the First Amendment permanently with what he called “campaign finance reform” soured me on him, and I suspect his reasons for opposing this horrid bill are also all wrong. Still, I’ll take any votes we can get for limited government.

That a bill will not do what it purports to do, especially some omnibus tripe that is called "reform" - that is a grand reason to vote against it. Voting against lies is never wrong.
Feingold knows he’s a vote cycle away from being a shoe salesman. No offense to shoe salesmen intended.
True, but he thinks it won't work for all the wrong reasons. He also doesn't seem to have any problems with the $90-billion tax that was inserted by the House in the 11th hour.
To the far left dorks, Feingold will be something of a hero. To the people who are barely paying attention in MN, they'll think Feingold is standing up against big government. He isn't. He standing up against big government, and holding out for GINORMOUS government.
Feingold isn’t feeling any pressure, he’s holding out for the highest bid. When Obama needs his vote he’ll ante up and Feingold will then brag that he brought home the bacon. Like prostitutes and johns, it’s just a matter of haggling over price.
Feingold is, unfortunately, from my state Wisconsin, not Minnesota.
Sorry, I always do that. Somehow, it just seems appropriate if Feingold and Franken are a match set.
