If the Senate could not stomach impeaching Clinton for perjury and rape, then what makes anybody think that the current Senate will do a damn thing over this? Especially when the MSM talking heads will argue that it is a legitimate exercise of Presidential power?

Even more especially when Obama's more fanatical supporters declare their willingness to march on DC and string up any Senator that disses their guy?

Uh, the Senate does not impeach anybody, the House by the Constitution.

Once impeached, removal from office occurs via trial in the Senate.

Impeachment remains an effective and useful way to take away power if not the office.
