Yep, witnessed it myself here in Hollywood. They have no allegiance to America. In hindsight, I’d be pissed off too if I was taking it up the arse economically from rich gringos..

"Ach, ist just mine flag und my granparentz."

"My allegiance is to America, no doubt about it, and I'd think I wouldn't have to prove it," said Haro, a 25-year-old utility worker. "But when I wave the Mexican flag for soccer, it's strictly cultural. It's showing I'm proud of my Mexican background."

Really? What a load of BS. What about American you POS. GFY and all your mexican loving AH's.

They really do have a point - as Senor Haro explains, his allegiance is to America and it's ridiculous that he would have to prove it.

He's flying the Mexican flag because his ancestors are Mexican and Mexico's team has advanced to the 2nd round of the Cup.

I mean, if America had a national soccer team and it managed to advance to the 2nd round, maybe his critics would have had a point - but who other than Mexico could a proud American root for these days at the World Cup?

Maybe one day in the future there might be an American team in the World Cup - maybe even one with a captain whose ancestors were Mexican like Senor Haro's (what a wonderful, crazy dream!) - a team that would be really easy to root for, you know, like one going into the Cup as underdogs and advancing from their group by scoring an overtime goal at the last possible minute . . . but until something like that happens, Senor Haro pretty much has to root for Mexico.

I dunno. I was rooting for Serbia in the World Cup, but now they’ve been eliminated.

And with what’s going on in Arizona right now, I’m not so keen on the Mexican flag.

Concerned that the Mexican flag carried the wrong message, Mexican American political leaders and other activists launched a largely successful effort to have people at public events, particularly protest marches, wave the American flag

Actually, they were concerned that it was sending the right message.

Yep. I understand.

I take pride in celebrating the culture of my ancestors. They liked "sports" as well.

HISPANIC LEADERS SPEAK OUT!

Augustin Cebada, Brown Berets; “Go back to Boston! Go back to Plymouth Rock, Pilgrims! Get out! We are the future. You are old and tired. Go on. We have beaten you. Leave like beaten rats. You old white people. It is your duty to die . . Through love of having children, we are going to take over. “

Richard Alatorre, Los Angeles City Council. “They’re afraid we’re going to take over the governmental institutions and other institutions. They’re right. We will take them over . . . We are here to stay.”

Excelsior, the national newspaper of Mexico, “The American Southwest seems to be slowly returning to the jurisdiction of Mexico without firing a single shot.”

Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez, University of Texas; “We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. The explosion is in our population . . . I love it. They are shitting in their pants with fear. I love it.”

Art Torres, Chairman of the California Democratic Party, “Remember 187—proposition to deny taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens—was the last gasp of white America in California.”

Gloria Molina, Los Angeles County Supervisor, “We are politicizing every single one of these new citizens that are becoming citizens of this country . . . I gotta tell you that a lot of people are saying, “I’m going to go out there and vote because I want to pay them back.”
Mario Obledo, California Coalition of Hispanic Organizations and California State Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under Governor Jerry Brown, also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bill Clinton, “California is going to be a Hispanic state. Anyone who doesn’t like it should leave.”

Jose Pescador Osuna, Mexican Consul General, “We are practicing ‘La Reconquista’ in California.”

Professor Fernando Guerra, Loyola Marymount University; “We need to avoid a white backlash by using codes understood by Latinos . . .
Fabian Nunez, fomer California Assembly Speaker.: Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez and his pals in the Democratic Latino Caucus are rewriting the rules of common sense by insisting on unyielding, unquestioning support of people who enter the U.S. illegally. — Earlier this month, the Democratic Latino Caucus held a press conference to deride the Republican Party as “racist, “anti-immigrant, and “anti-Latino”.”

Are these just the words of a few extremists? Consider that we could fill up many pages with such quotes. Also, consider that these are mainstream Mexican leaders.
