I’d put him in the 2nd tier or desirable candidates with Palin and Jindal.

Haley Barbour would make an excellent president. He’s smart, savvy and conservative. It’s a winning combination in my book.

Barbour’s media skills are prodigious. He would CRUSH Obama in any debate, and would make mincemeat of idiots like Katie Couric & Brian Williams.

I sure hope so
Romney and Huckleberry are pathetic

Haley has one thing going against him - he’s from Mississippi. There’s a lot of prejudice against people from there.

There is no candidate in the party today, including Palin and Jindal, who could run a better campaign than Barbour. He is the only fully-fledged professional on the scene today.
To: uncbob
"Absolutely agreeHe is fantastic in interviews and debates" He was on Charlie Rose a couple of years ago and was fantastic. The interview may be seen here.
There were a couple instances where Charlie got a little unhinged because Barbour wouldn't accept Charlie's biased premise in asking a couple questions.

And for God sake, why was he on TV talking about the great job dumb-— is doing in the Gulf?

There are some of us, a growing number, that Top Tier is defined by wisdom, conservatism, and record. Then there are the pansy-asses who brought us the top tier of Rudy McRomney in 2008

I don’t care how many professionals he can hire to run his campaign. That usually gets us the Doles and Romneys and Mccains and Bushes

I got a feeling 2012 won’t be the year of the RINO.

A LOBBYIST FOR PRESIDENT....Just what we need. A part of the problem wants to solve the problem. It would be like putting the wolf in charge of the sheep.
To: Notary Sojac
Barbour came here to Iowa to speak. He told a crowd how he formed a coalition of conservatives and RINOs to create Mississippi into one of the most pro-life states in the country.
Instead of the assembled Iowa Republicans looking at this as a road map to victory, many had apoplexy that he would use someone less than perfect. My reaction is this guy just showed us the way to victory--let's follow him. Some people think it's more honorable to lose than to win with less than perfect soldiers.
