Commercial fishermen landed the 3-foot-long, 20-pound bighead carp

If they caught one then you can bet there's others swimming around. I think the cat's out of the bag now.......

As a side note, I remember back in the late 50's while growing up in northern Michigan and the lamphrey eel were decimating the fishing populations.

The DNR poisoned the rivers up there to kill the eels and I would walk along the river bank picking up those ugly suckers (no pun intended) and putting them in a big glass jar. Why, I don't know, its something only a little does........LOL

But they were everywhere
