My wife is German, so we have lots of fun rooting for both the Stars-N-Stripes and Die Mannschaft. But when it’s US-vs-Deutschland, we’re solidly Team USA. If Germany takes the #1 position, we wouldn’t get a chance to avenge the 2002 quarterfinals until the final, but we’d probably have to beat both Brazil and Netherlands along the way, so the Krauts may have an easier path than us.
