The patriot puts Country and the lives of his troops first and Bennys second.
General McChrystal has already offered his resignation. And, no, Obama cannot withold his pension. We are still a land ruled by Law. (See the ruling by Judge striking down Obamas drilling moratorium.)
McChrystal could have done much more good if he had had the moral courage to resign and tell it like it is (perfectly acceptable and highly honorable behavior for a retired officer) instead of waiting for Obama to fire him for insubordination while on active duty (Banana Republic behavior).
