General McChrystal goes rogue.

Housing sales dip.

Judge slams Obama's drilling ban.

Gaza heats up.

Blago is on trial.

Polls say Hillary better POTUS than Obama.

No Congressional budget this year.

Insurance costs rise.

Other than that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?

Not even God can repair the damage Bush did in 4 short years.

P{ersonally, considering we have not seen anything but a summary of his activities as a judge, I think I posted a link in one of my earlier posts, that he has a very interesting lecturers schedule, mentioning a bunch of things which, if he was younger, might put him on the radar for a conservative Presidents to nominate him for the “big bench” (SCOTUS)...

That’s my initial, knee-jerk assessment...

You know...Bottom line...I don’t fault someone for going out and making money...Yes, the investments could very well influence, or cause a conflict of interest...But like I was illuding to, could there have bene another judge Jindal could have tapped to do this, and they all have sat down and looked for potential “conflicts of interest” before setting off in that direction???

This just looks like such an obvious thing, to have overlooked as a potential stumbling block to our side of the argument...

It’ would have been difficult, since something like 75% of the Federal judges in La. own oil and gas stock.

Since I’m a cynic, I wager you that Jindal *knew* that this conflict of interest would get the decision overturned. But Jindal gets to look strong to the La. populace and to all the Conservatives who would cheer his decision. (There certainly are enough of them on FR, for instance.) It’s cheap grandstanding.

But then, I have no respect for Jindal. He plays both sides of any situation - whatever he thinks will get him more street cred with a GOP base. He’s too obviously salivating for a VP or Pres nomination - drooling like a bulldog.

I see your cynicism, and raise you a “lets see what happens”...

You may be right about the play, but it doesn’t compute right now with the way Jindal has performed as governor, and that is no matter to how anyone feels about him personally...Up or down...
