I think you hit the nail on the head. Rahmbo got himself into a situation he didnt understand, actually believing all that BS from Obama about him being a friend of Israel. Now that Rahm has seen the ugly truth he wants out.

That’s just plain wrong. Emanuel is a Marxist first, last and always. Despite the left’s history of antisemitism, Emanuel probably thinks if he helps the crocodile across the river it won’t bite him. No different than the Jews who tried to find accomodation with Hitler. But, alas, history seems predestined to repeat itself.
No, Emanuel—if he goes off into the night from whence he came—is being cashiered because he simply cannot keep up with Onada’s personal and policy missteps. I think the guy did a fantastic job trying to keep up. But once the Onada house of cards began to cascade there was and is no way to keep up.
It will be intersting to see who Onada finds to fill Emanuel’s spot.
