There’s no Constitutional authority for the “war on drugs.” And there never will be, unless an amendment similar to the 18th Amendment is passed, giving Congress the power to prohibit (specific) drugs.

There’s nothing “conservative” about the “war on drugs.” It’s progressive nanny-statism, through and through.

I so agree...it baffles me WHY “conservatives” rally around this absurd War on DRugs. If we are going to have a WOD, lets at least prioritize what we will spend our $ and time on prosecuting.

The argument “well, if there had been no WOD for these last 40 years, THINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN WORSE....We saved millions of lives!” That sounds like the “We SAVED millions of jobs” line the Admin uses.
If the truth be known, there has been no series of real scientific research studies to determine if the WOD has been effective, or which part of it.
