Commission chairman Wayne Harris said he and his fellow commissioners made their unanimous decision knowing full well they could be prosecuted for it.
We made the decision legislatively to break the laws if necessary. We will do whatever it takes to protect our countys waterways and were prepared to go to jail to do it, he said.

Good for them. They won’t be prosecuted. They will be viewed by the American people as successful and the Feds will, if they are smart, try to claim credit for the initiative.

They will be made an example of what happens when you ignore the will of Landru...the lawgivers will come...
They are not one with the body..

Expect more of this for more reasons. The federal "government" is broken. The only thing that seems to work are agencies that are still coasting because of management and leadership from "the previous 8 years."
Before much longer the fed will not be able to function except to fine and jail all American Citizens that actually do anything.

They should take State Troopers along with them and tell the feds or Coast Guard to stand down, that they will continue their efforts to protect their waterways. If the feds try to use force, then use force on them.
To me, this is war - the Constitution-breaking rogue federal Obama government against states united under the Constitution. Might as well start right here right now.

One more thing... anything you do will get you thrown in jail, including doing nothing.

I happened to hear Mike Huckabee on Greta tonight who has a home around Destin. He said the locals are not waiting for the feds there to solve the problem. They have already been watching the feds fiasco for a while and know it is up to them to take action. That prompted me to search for news out of Destin on this and it really makes my day!

Mike Huckabee still owns a home in Arkansas, but he and his wife are Permanent Residents of Florida now. They might be renting. No income tax in Florida.

Damn straight. Finally leadership that’s sorely lacking from either Charlie Crist or Barack Hussein.

That part of the Panhandle is quite capable of making their wishes stick. The Sheriff there IS the highest law enforcement officer in their county, and both the public and the Sheriff know it.
Hopefully, the rest of America will observe, then follow suit.

I was assigned to Eglin in the early 879s and took my 21 foot cuddy cabin inboard-outboard through the pass to troll for king mackerel with my son. Good times.

They wont be prosecuted. You're prolly right.......but just wait 'til they apply for reimbursement from the (BP funded) slush fund that the WH is now in controlling.
