To: Wyatt's Torch; Tax-chick

Yeah, I’ve heard about the liberal part, but I’ve been to North Carolina, and it’s gorgeous! My mom practically grew up in Charlotte many years ago, and she remembers it fondly.

He actually interviewed for two positions, one for a facilities engineer (the one he applied for intially), and one for a project engineer ( new opening they were thinking he’d be perfect for). He spent over an hour on the phone, so he thinks it went pretty well :)

And my kids already have a funny accent, so there won’t be so much culture shock if we move! LOL Bonus is, it’s about 1/2 the distance to family that we are now.

FReepers describe their visits to Asheville as if they’ve been to the zoo ;-). It’s beautiful around Asheville, and there are outstanding Boy Scout camps (I hear - I never go anywhere ...).

One reason we live here is that our parents in Florida can drive or fly here in a day, without difficulty. It was very hard when we lived in Oklahoma!
