My husband just interviewed yesterday for a transfer to his company’s plant in Asheville, NC! It went incredibly well, so we could be moving that way in the near future :)
Asheville is a great town. Bunch of hippie whacko liberals but a great place.
Great! Asheville is in a charming location, about two hours from where I live in the east-side Charlotte suburbs. It’s in the Diocese of Charlotte, which is very solid.
If you get an offer, you can come over to the NC Forum (just change your locale to NC) and ask about where to live. We have a number of active FReepers up that way.
Don’t worry, you’ll be at least a couple of hours away. Asheville has its own set of uniqueness.
