Wow..I noticed that too. It was smirky and smart ass. Somebody should have screen grabbed that one.
I noticed that:
1. He was on time — very rare for him.
2. He didn’t speak any longer than advertised. Also unusual, but he didn’t want to cut into the Celtics/Lakers game for his viewers or himself.
3. He sat between the US and Presidential flags and HE WORE A FLAGPIN. Things must be serious.
4. He lied is a$$ off about the speed and scope of the response. Now, it’s large, but it is very late. Jones Act, toxic dispersants sold by a Chicago firm, lowballed estimates of fuel flow, denial of permits to Jindal. Gimme a break, Obama.
5. He’s extorting an escrow fund from BP (this should be done through a court injunction), and claiming his political appointment of the fund handler will be “third party.” Does anyone believe this won’t turn into a politically distributed slushfund funded by BP?
5. And of course, he pimped for Cap and Trade.
6. Blessing of the fleet? Puh-leeze. An insincere finale.
