Yes, I caught it. Yes he did treat him like a “kook/cook” and yes, it's irritating.

I may not believe in all of Beck's ideology; but, as the daughter of a former American history teacher, he is doing the country a service getting everyone up to speed again on the history of our nation. The schools aren't getting it done; and before you jump me, I'm a former teacher and married to a teacher, so I'm not just dissing educators.

I think a lot of educators are having to shove pap that they don't agree with down kids throats and the ones that encourage kids to disagree or debate come under scrutiny.

In as much as Beck/O’Reilly are concerned, Fox has put them together in some kind of unholy alliance and it amazes me that with Beck's emotionalism and O’Reilly’s ego there hasn't been a massive blow up yet.

Cook Kook—are we gonna go into a hissy fit because one millionaire tv host called another one names? Geez, who cares? When I look at some of Beck`s ideas on paper, I think `I can get behind that.` Then I see him, and I can`t deny that he comes off as hysterical. I`ve had enough with teary_eyed men, and just because he`s on our side politically doesn`t mean I have to start yelping everytime someone criticizes him. There is indeed something Michael Savage-y about him, and I prefer my conservatives to be rational.

Yes, and it was just part of their book promotion schtick. If you don't think this stuff is planned in advance you haven't been around the game much.

'Schtick": In the 1940's, Jewish comedians in the Catskills referred to their comedy routines as their schtick.

It also mocked the liberal idiots (O'Reilly was playing straight man) who didn't recognize Kipling's poem and its passages from the Holy Bible.

This post was made better by your spelling error :-)
Added humor to an otherwise humorless story, humor is almost
always a good thing.
