Columbia, SC - A South Carolina senator is asking authorities to impound voting machines that were used during Tuesday’s South Carolina statewide primaries.

Sen. Phil Leventis is asking for the South Carolina Law Enforcement division to impound the machines with a full accounting of the vote totals to be conducted.

In a letter by Leventis, he writes, “Many irregularities occurred in the Democratic primary for United States senate. For instance, it has been reported 25 precints in Spartanburg County, one of the Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate received more votes than were actually cast and there were 50 other precints where votes appeared to be missing from the final count.”

There aren’t any dem primary runoffs so only repubs are doing runoffs June 22 in SC. Anybody who casted a vote for the dems can’t vote for the repubs in the runoff but if they didn’t vote at all in the original primary they can go to the runoffs and claim republican....
