Even if this were a GOP-run “gotcha” operation (which I doubt), I don’t see how that absolves Etheridge here. Regardless of the videographer’s motives, Etheridge could have answered his question respectfully, or just given a “no comment” instead of going crazy.
Main stream news organizations practicing gotcha journalism = Pulitzer Prize.
Student journalists asking a benign question = Hatchet job.
