Yeah, and not too long ago she was old enough to have and raise a family, buy a house and sail around the world had she wanted. Most people wouldn’t let their kid walk off into the woods alone as they are not prepared. I did it regularly and still do.

I was trained in search and rescue as part of the Sheriff Explorer but I already possessed many of the skill required to hike alone.

What you consider dangerous is just another day for many of us.

Not an adrenaline junky, just find some activities fun, stimulating and relaxing.
