This is just so damn funny! I can't wait to see what happens.
I"ve seen no real explanation put forth, for how this person won the primary. No explanation that I've seen makes any sense whatsoever. It makes me wonder if there is a much bigger story underlying the election of Mr. Greene. But what could it be? Very curious indeed.

It was a very minor sideshow of a campaign. Rawls had 4% name recognition, Greene, 0%. So when 96% of the voters got into the booth, many simply checked “Greene” because it comes before “Rawls” alphabetically and was so listed. Lesson: if you intend on running in a Democratic Primary in South Carolina change your last name to “Aaron”. (If, otoh, intend to run in Massachusetts, change your last name to “Kennedy”.)
