COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Former state lawmaker Vic Rawl on Monday formally protested the results of the U.S. Senate primary he lost last week to an unknown, unemployed military veteran.
South Carolina Democratic Party Executive Director Jay Parmley said Rawl filed his protest with the party just before the noon deadline.

Whatever, I read that Rawls had 4% name recognition. Maybe those who knew him voted against him. And who thinks being associated with the Democratic establishment is a political plus these days? Especially in South Carolina?
Sounds smarter than others who were campaigning. I don’t know if that is fully the truth but I think it was a great idea.

I saw an interview of the guy on camera. What some took to be “slowness” I sorta thought he was taking time to think about the questions before he answered.
I know nothing about the guy except what I’ve read here. I’m in Texas, so I sure don’t have a compelling interest in this race. We probably find it interesting because of the nature of it.

Bush won his second term because Black Christians voted for him in Ohio rather than voting for the pro-baby killing, pro-gay marriage, Democrat.
Rove put a heavy push in Ohio Black churches and almost doubled Bush’s Black vote there. If he lost Ohio he would have been a 1 term president like Bush the Elder.
Say what ? Lou Rawls may have had the classiest voice and silkiest chops in the singing game, but Al Green was the coolest and most gifted purveyor of soul music in the known Universe !!.
