He was the black candidate. A majority of South Carolina primary voters are black. Please think back to the 2008 Presidential election where Barrack Obama got 95% of the black vote.

Anyone who continues with this ridiculous “his name was first on the ballot” nonsense is helping the Dems with the ridiculous cover up.

The fact are most blacks will vote only for other blacks if they have that choice. They will do so even with the politician in question is clearly unqualified (Obama), stupid (Maxine Waters), rude (Shirley Jackson Lee), corrupt (too many to name) or addicted to crack (Marion Barry).

There is absolutley nothing surprising about this fellows campaign.

What you say is true. But there’s nothing ‘ridiculous’ about the first-name-on-the-ballot point. It’s the way far too many voters (especially on the D side...) look at voting. I’d bet that even had the Black voter percentages been lower, he’d still get the nomination. Too many people pay no attention to elections until the walk into the voting booth.
