South Carolina Democratic candidate for US Senate, Alvin M. Greene, shown in this photo in Manning, S.C. Wednesday.
In a conference call with reporters Thursday, Rep. James Clyburn (D) of South Carolina, the House majority whip, put words to gathering suspicions about Greene's candidacy. "There were some real shenanigans going on in the South Carolina primary," said Representative Clyburn, who is calling for a federal investigation of the matter. "I don't know if he was a Republican plant; he was someone's plant."

He is the test case on how to rig an election.

I think Demint is a lock for reelection. He didn’t need to pull a stunt like this.

I don’t see what the issue is here?? He has about as much experience as our President who also never held a private-sector job. WTF is all the fuss about?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Seriously, this was a test-drive for voter fraud mechanisms, I’m willing to bet

I think that this happens a lot in politics in order to tie up a candidate who would otherwise have an uncontested race. But usually a plant doesn’t win!
To: SeekAndFind
Greene may not be a plant, but in a TV interview he DID come across as something of a vegetable.

So, the Democrats screwed up, or maybe couldn’t persuade anyone to run against DeMint. Then, naturally, they blame it on a Republican plot.
Horse manure.

The New York Times wrote that "to many in the state ... the accusation speaks volumes about a style of South Carolina politics in which some people take peculiar pleasure in skulduggery and dirty tricks and shamelessly exploit racial differences and racism in the pursuit of victory."And the New York Times think their buddy Barack didn't?
All things considered, I'm willing to bet that Mr. Greene learned a lot more during his 13 years in the milirary than Barack learned during his couple of weeks at Baskin-Robbins.

oops. my bad. I forgot about his ice cream-man days. Bet he looked cute with those ears under that funny paper hat

What's curious about it?
It is apparent to me, after watching his efforts at speaking, he is a planted dumb ass.
Now, as to who planted him...that is an entirely different story.
I suspect the truth lies somewhere between Mr. Demint, the GOP and the SC demorat party.
Whatever it is, it just may backfire explosively on someone.
He's not smart enough to maintain the facade, and too many people are looking sideways at this.
Pass the popcorn, please.

I'll bet the voters thought they were voting for this guy:
He had "Let's Stay Together" among other hit tunes in the 1970's.

The Democrats of SC required a $10,400.00 filling fee. The check was cashed - no questions asked. Plant my a$$!

For the record, all of the examples of skulduggery they cite are by Democrats.
Furthermore, they’re implying that SC Dems are a bunch of ignorant racists.
