Id like to see a soccer player run up and down a court at full speed for some 2.5 hours which included jumping very high and getting knocked to the ground by very muscular men.
ROFLMAO!!! Where exactly do you get 2.5 hours? Because that is how long the game lasts as you watch it? NBA quarters are 12 minutes. 12 X 4 is 48 MINUTES. Soccer game is TWO 45 minutes halves for a total of 90 MINUTES.
The size of an NBA court is 94' X 50'. The size of a professional soccer field is 120' X 80'. Basketball players get breaks in between each quarter and have numerous timeouts along with TV timeouts. Soccer has ONE break and that is between halves.

Can you imagine Shaq or “Big Baby” Davis on a football pitch for two 45 minute halves? Steve Nash plays both well. It would be interesting to learn what his views are in terms of which requires the greatest endurance and fitness.

Soccer doesn’t have substitutions? Does one typically play all 90 minutes? NBA players run a lot faster and it would be interesting to add up how many miles they run in a given game.
