The Mexicans should be asking, just how do “15 year old boys” (not old enough to be Eagle Scouts) get themselves involved in human trafficking?
Fixed it.
why did the AP story not say: “America approves of Border Patrol shooting of teen.”
How do they know ALL of Mexico condems the shooting?
Attack a Border Patrol agent you most likely will get shot. Not to hard. Do we wait until he attacks a cop in OKC? Shut up Mexico. America is busy.
GREAT BIG Sis and Holder are probably burning the midnight oil typing up the agents’ transfer papers to Mexico, right now. They will have him in shackles and doing the perp-walk across the bridge, by sundown tomorrow.
That would make for an interesting showdown. I can't imagine that even Obama is stupid enough to do something like that. But, if he did, I can imagine that there would be enormous pressure for the border patrol to unionize, I wouldn't entirely blame them. US law doesn't allow for such unionization in federal law enforcement agencies, but I could see the agents just not showing up for work for a day, or more.
Who would volunteer to work the border if they thought they could be facing extradition proceedings for doing their job.
Stones can kill as easily as bullets. Who fired first across the border?
Once the smoke clears and the bs rhetoric calms down, I seriously doubt Mexico will have a case.
We have a saying, here, in Minnesota.....
TOUGH HOP.
“Some Mexican politicians called for the agent’s extradition to face Mexican justice.”
I don’t think that will ever happen...but I would *not* be at all surprised if the idea ends up being seriously considered behind closed doors at Justice or the Oval Office.
So when Mexican troops inadvertently cross the U.S. border, it's okay, but when a U.S. Border Patrol agent on U.S. territory (in the course of discharging official duties) fires in self-defense because Mexicans were throwing rocks across the border, it's somehow bad?
My mistake. I'm stunned. I was sure that federal law enforcement agencies were disallowed from unionizing - part of the same law that prevents the TSA from unionizing. I wonder what the distinction of the border patrol is?
Some other federal agents/inspectors are unionized, it depends on the job title/description and agency. Supervisors are not allowed to be unionized.

Bet that kid was smart enough to know not to throw rocks at the Mexican military or cartel enforcers.
Yeah, just doing some quick research, I learned that Park Police and Capital Police are unionized. I know that SS, FBI, DSS, NCIS, CID are all not unionized. I'm going to take some time this weekend to find out how the distinctions are made, I'm curious now.
The politics of everything will have a severe backlash. I would hope Washington knows this.
Here comes the real story:
A U.S. official, meanwhile, said video shows the Border Patrol agent did not enter Mexico.
The official said the video also shows what seem to be four Mexican law enforcement officers driving to the edge of the dry but muddy bed of the Rio Grande, walking across to the U.S. side, picking up an undetermined object and returning to Mexico near the area where the boy’s body was.
Like their U.S. counterparts, Mexican law enforcement officers are not authorised to cross the border without permission.
According to the FBI, Border Patrol agents were responding to a group of suspected illegal immigrants being smuggled into the U.S. near the Paso Del Norte bridge, across from Ciudad Juarez around 6.30pm local time on Monday.
One suspected illegal immigrant was detained on the levee on the U.S. side, the FBI said in a statement. Another Border Patrol agent arrived on the concrete bank where the now-dry, ten-metre wide Rio Grande is, and detained a second person.
Other suspects ran back into Mexico and began throwing rocks, the FBI said.
