People often stare at car wrecks, bloody bodies from natural disasters, and so forth. Some kind of shock takes affect and they cannot *not* look.
I still want to know how old she was at the time though. If she was a minor, and much younger than he was, then throw the book at him. If she wasn't, then it was just a really bad pick up attempt, which apparently did not work.

Perhaps the images were thumbnail size, so that a dozen or more may have fit on the screen. Alternately, the pictures may have started out somewhat tame (let's say equivalent to PG-13) but then went to R and finally to XXX.
I agree, after the first image why didn’t she just get up and walk away? Also she stayed long enough so he could ask for her phone number and name? WTF?
