He vigorously defends the legality of Israels blockade and necessity of interdicting arms and weapons. However he opines that Israel is shooting its self in the foot by ham handedly interfering with the transit of humanitarian aid and other necessities such as cement and structural steel etc. At least that is what I heard him to say, and he had already translated it from the original German for us.
If Israel is right to blockade weapons, but wrong to blockade aid ships ... how are they to tell the difference without boarding?
How should they respond when the tenants of the ship (a ship whose contents are still unknown) wield knives and clubs, and take soldiers captive?
Someone will have to translate my questions into German for Herr Buchanan.
