Fowler’s explanation makes absolutely no sense. Who in their right mind rushes out to vote in a primary and then just randomly picks the first name on the ballot? It might happen if there is another hotly contested race that attracts the voters, but I doubt that this is the case here. I bet you could hear the crickets chirpping at those polls. Just more spin.
