I found a picture of GWB in a somewhat surprising place: in Harvard University’s alumni magazine! My Mom went to Univ. of Nevada, and gets their magazine. I figured that an alumni mag.’s a good place to look for an alumni(esp. if they became something like a Pres., after all!).

So I was looking at Harv. Univ.’s website, because I had ancestors who went there, and one of them was it’s first librarian! Anyway, I got curious. I remembered GWB went there, and earned an MBA there. I looked in some of the older mag.s from the early-to 2000s, and found a small pic. and a short article!

It was in a section that asked if anyone had seen these people? He was the person on top of the page! I don’t know why I looked there, but I thought since he was elected Pres. later that year, that they would mention him with pride, being one of their alumni.

They didn’t say much at all, other than some background info. and that he was running for presidential office! He hadn’t won the election yet, maybe that was why. However, something tells me they would’ve made a much bigger fuss over his election if he’d been a Democrat! I hope I was wrong, but I’m not sure I was!

Check out President Bush's 4th of July message on his Facebook page. Very nice of him to give a heartfelt shoutout to our troops fighting on our behalf this holiday weekend.
