Despite weather forecasts of thunderstorms, the skies were clear and beautiful Sunday afternoon for our Stop the Islamization of America (SIOA) rally against the Ground Zero mega-mosque, but not as beautiful as the patriotic crowd who came out to stand for freedom against this insulting manifestation of Islamic supremacism. It was a real cross-section of humanity: every race, creed, color and religion were out in all their glory.

My SIOA colleague, bestselling author and Islam expert Robert Spencer, and I were expecting 500 people to attend our rally. Imagine our wonder when close to 5,000 showed up. Other estimates ranged up to 10,000. The crowd was so huge that it filled the police pens and Zuccotti Park, and overflowed to the other side of the street.

Those who support the building of that Mega Mosque should know that the Imam coordinating this project is known to be supporting the terrorist sympathizing group that caused the flotilla incident in Israel.

Sure, we’re for freedom of religion, but not if excercising this supports our enemies.

Imam unmosqued: Ground Zero booster tied to sea clash

The imam behind a proposed mosque near Ground Zero is a prominent member of a group that helped sponsor the pro-Palestinian activists who clashed violently with Israeli commandos at sea this week.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is a key figure in Malaysian-based Perdana Global Peace Organization, according to its Website.

Perdana is the single biggest donor ($366,000) so far to the Free Gaza Movement, a key organizer of the six-ship flotilla that tried to break Israel’s blockade of the Hamas-run Gaza Strip Monday.

Nine passengers aboard the largest ship died in clashes with Israeli commandos, and a new confrontation loomed today, when another Free Gaza Movement ship was due to reach Gaza waters in defiance of Israel.

Intersting take. Do you think the framers would support the practice of a religion whose basic premise is the elimination of the practitioners of all religions other than theirs ?

Yes, I do... I have not seen anything that otherwise. Freedom of religion and worship, regardless of what that may talk.

The Founders were also very positive about the freedom of speech, and that goes hand-in-hand. Being able to criticize the Government or other institutions is fundamental to the American experiment.

I have a Mosque. My religion tells me that non-Muslims are infidels that need to be eliminated or subjugated. I support terrorists who are known to kill American citizens here and overseas. I solicit donations from my mosque members to give money so that I can support these terrorists.

Sure they were... but this freedom is NOT ABSOLUTE. There are limits to the practice of the freedom of speech. Here’s the limit -— If your speech will cause the death and harm others, then it stops there.

I don’t think they believe that speech is so absolute that it trumps law and order.

Bottom line: once they have that mosque there (and don’t believe their dissembling about “it’s just a community place where people will also pray,” it becomes a rallying point of militant action against OUR FREEDOMS!

I'd say yes to all EXCEPT the connection of monies for terrorists/foreign powers; that is outright treason. Do you have any reason to think otherwise? Remember, these same Founders were all given sentences of death by the British, when this WAS a British territory and they were actively rebelling. It's why I think they recognized our God-given right to free speech and freedom of assembly.

Calling for overthrow of the Government was their actions that brought them the sentences of death; that same freedom - to call for the toppling of the Government - should be protected. When you act on it, though, you become an enemy of the Government and should rightfully expect repercussions and retaliation.
