JERUSALEM (AP) -- The United States has asked Israel to investigate an incident in which an American woman lost an eye after being shot by Israeli forces with a tear gas canister during a pro-Palestinian protest in Jerusalem, a U.S. diplomat said Monday.
Emily Henochowicz, a 21-year-old visual arts student from Maryland and a dual Israeli-American citizen, was struck in the face by a canister fired by an Israeli policeman during a violent demonstration against Israel's deadly naval raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla.

Actually, no, AP:
She was injured during a violent assault against Israel’s rightful attempt to defend itself against a purposefully provocative naval mission to deliver uninspected “humanitarian” aid to Gaza. It only turned ‘deadly’ at the instigation her commrades-in-arms on the ship.
She can thank her lucky stars she didn’t go lie down in front of a D9 Cat...

Ms. Henochowicz, who was raised as a Jew, said she began questioning the concepts of God and faith after the death of her grandfather a few years ago. A high school senior, she formerly attended a Hebrew school and prayed to God but felt unclear about what happened to someone after death.
After much consideration, she decided to stop believing in “mysticism,” including God.

Hey Mom perhaps it is your fault for letting your daughter go and protest with such a violent crowd? Surely at 21 she doesn’t have the resources on her own to pay her own way to do this?
