I hope he does too onyx, but who knows. McCain has spent millions trying to tar JD so if he can’t win in the general it’s because of McCain and not because of JD.

Every “reach across the aisle” Republican has been in Washington too long. Bennett of Utah got sent home to retirement, but I’m worried that McCain won’t and he’s the same as Arlen: NO party loyalty.

McCain had a war chest of $5 million plus the $20 million he had left over from the presidential campaign (why did he have that much left?). He’s spending it all to win against JD who has less than $1 million. Pretty unfair situation, but that’s the breaks. I know a lot of politicians who I will work tirelessly against if McCain gets back in.

You are so eager to intoxicate yourself with the 1-percenter tonic that you would bad-mouth good people to get your way, and help the Dims.

I have serious doubts Lil Miss Sara, that you even fully understand the slur "1-percenter" that you are tossing around. This isn't about 'bad mouthing' good people, it is about telling the truth, which is a concept that has eluded John McCain for a long time. For all of his prattle about 'Straight Talk' and being a (gag) 'Maverick', he has proven that he's nothing but a two-faced con man, he is a liberal-progressive statist, he is NOT a conservative, and the only time he feigns any sort of conservatism is when he is running for re-election, and his current behavior and flip-flops are just one more manifestation of that sort of duplicity.

You are stark raving mad if you think this boils down to Republicans vs. Democrats. I am out to help conservatives. Period. Unfortunately for the RINO tools running the GOP, that means that sometimes I'm going to support Republicans, and other times I'm going to veer third party or even Democrat (as in Bob Conley in South Carolina in 2008).

You raise an important point Rabs, and that is that "no political party has a monopoly on conservatism", for example take former Senator Zell Miller of Georgia. He broke with the 'Rat Party in 2004 because he clearly recognized that John F'in Kerry was "Unfit for Command" and that is why he showed up at the GOP convention to show his support for the Republican ticket. If Zell Miller had been running for President, I would have voted for him in a heartbeat because he is of a dying breed of Democrat, the kind that DOES put Country before Party, and his kind is headed for extinction, at least in the 'Rat Party, and ditto for the Republican Party unless we stem the RINO-tide by stopping the McCains and Fiorinas and evicting the Michael Steeles from their lofty positions.

If I see it, I’ll take my shots before you return. Count on it.

Thanks D1, appreciate your watchful eye and it's nice to see there was an absence of malicious snarking going on. ;)

I’d like to see the election authority demand an audit on the co-mingling of funds. I’ve heard about the $20 million and that he’s using it now but haven’t seen records posted.

I recall when the campaign sold-off blackberries that still had information included on them, so I’m guessing the money from those assests went into the campaign “war chest”...?

JD’s campaign might consider asking (demanding) an account of his ‘08 campaign fund. Lord knows the media won’t.

You and rabs have descended to the lowest level imaginable in your hatred of McCain. This is just the sort of comments I have been decrying. Shame on you both.

Here comes the 'hater' card, played as always, and the problem you have Sara is that you don't seem to realize that there is a major difference between 'hating' a person as an individual (and I can honestly say I don't hate any single individual whatsoever), and hating the actions of that individual (or individuals).

The late Johnny Cash said in 'The Farmers Alamanac' (1991), "Lies have to be covered up, Truth can run around naked", and the only thing that has been posted in this and other threads about McCain is the Truth, and like my almost-namesake Colonel Nathan R. Jessep in 'A Few Good Men', Sara?

"You can't handle the truth!"

I was leaning towards supporting Hayworth until Sarah came out for McCain. I trust Sarah’s judgment and so should the rest of you.

Do you have ANY idea of just how utterly lame that sounds?

Personal question here Sara, and if you don't want to answer, no biggie, but I got to ask:

How old are you anyway?

You know what I dislike? I dislike those who are Hayworth personally trashing those who are for McCain.
If you can’t do with all the insults then it just proves you really don’t have worthy points to forward in support of Hayworth.

You know what the majority of FReepers don't like Kemo Sabe?

They don't like the obnoxious presumption of your fallen hero McCain that he is entitled to keep his Senate seat for all time, until he is carried out like his 'dear friend' the late Fat Teddy Kennedy.

McCain has always reserved his most venomous comments and behavior for conservatives in his OWN Party, when he should have been directing that invective across the aisle, but oh wait: that's where all of his butt buddies reside, and he wouldn't want to offend them, now would he?

The fact is, McCain is one nasty piece of work, there is more than enough evidence out there to support that, and Google is your friend if you don't want to believe it.

I just KNOW AuntB can help you there if you're too busy or challenged to do some research yourself.

IIRC (don't remember where I saw this) -- John F'ing Kerry also helped betray POWs -- I believe some business concern of a cousin or in-law or some such, is what enticed him to throw Vietnamese POWs under the bus.

I heard the same thing, and I'm going to have to do some digging on that sometime, but it is no secret that McCain and Kerry worked hand-in-hand to screw POWs and their families from ever learning the truth. And they did a nice job of covering their tracks for the most part.

Beats thinking.

That’s an interesting point. But you’ll never get the FEC to do anything about McCain.

If you disagree with McCain, fine, but don’t slander him as a treasonous bastard or traitor or Democrat mole

Hey, Sarabaracuda. Are you the REAL ONE AN' ONLY Sara?

Cause if you are, you've breathed life into a party of RINOs and I think you're GREAT.

I'll even forgive you for supporting McSTAIN.......BUT, the statement McSTAIN made supporting O_tarball during the 2008 campaign, you know the one....."Lady, you don't have to worry about Barrack O_tarball, he's a GOOoood American!"

That statement puts him on par W/a long dead guy, named Arnold!

AND if you aren't the REAL Sara (married to a guy name Todd Palin), GO POUND SAND!

McCain was giving Pres. Obama respect cause of the office he holds and so would I.
The infamous "nothing to fear" quote was made by McCain BEFORE the election.

Which lends even more credence to the theory that McCain had already planned to throw the election for his fellow liberal-progressive, Comrade 0bama.

McCain reacts to map depicting the USA and Mexico as separate countries.
