Vanity - Dick Morris' comments on Greta Van Susteren
fox news ^ | 6/3/2010 | self

Just heard Dick Morris on Greta - predicting that Republicans win back both houses and impeachment proceedings could be initiated next year (Sestak, Romanoff, etc...)

I've been hoping for exactly that. From your lips, Dick Morris to God's ears.

I hope that translates to election victories. But impeachment is a loser for us. People are sick to death of that. Let them vote the bums out.

It did us a lot of good with Clinton, eh? People will be itching to vote against Obama in ‘12 unless the Pubbies are seen as overreaching.

That’s why Obama will be hit by several democrats that come forward with blatant evidence that will force Obama to resign.

Personally, I don't see this guy ever resigning. He's not like Nixon, he has no sense of honor.

Instead, he's got a messiah complex. If you don't believe in him, it's your fault. If the people turn against him, it's their fault. He won't be able to relate to any argument based on party survival. It's his survival that is of the utmost importance.

I can see him just "giving up", however -- when he doesn't get what he wants and he's made a totally unmanageable hash of things. But, still, he wouldn't resign. He'd turn the decisions over to somebody else, continue to enjoy the White House, Air Force One and his other perks.

In any event, we're in a world of hurt...

You say:”I think you’re misreading the mood of the American people. I’ve talked to people all over the country and they’re big-time enraged.”

Even many of his most ardent sycophants are enraged. When you even see little crissy and carville lose it - things are not going well for the "WON".

I'm surprised carville didn't have a stroke

Some "brilliant" Freepers will post that it will somehow be a bad thing if the GOP wins either house and/or if Congress impeaches Obama.

Wait for it...wait for it...

Let me ask a question.

If he is found guilty of committing a FELONY in either/or the Sestak/Romanoff kerfuffle - is impeachment needed to remove him?

Our Government — Democrat AND Republican are just TOO corrupt to convict Obama almost no matter what he did because of all the other historic elements involved in the story line.

Too many risks involved for them too. Impeaching Obama — no matter what he did or how much he deserved it — would bring civil unrest, perhaps a civil war, the likes of which we’ve never SEEN before.

Those are POLITICAL calculations Washington DC will NEVER willingly make and risks they won’t take at this point in the game!

Just being REALISTIC.

Well think of it. 2012 comes and he is losing big in the polls,he feels as if he is going to be unseated. He makes the ultimate sin and brings the USA down by starting a nuclear war with who knows... Then the Mayans were right... OK tin foil hat on.

As much as I like hearing good news such as that, I get nervous when people start to “count their chickens before they hatch”.

WE have some different dynamics in play here - as Mr. K says Clinton had a fawning media - always. Obama is even starting to lose them

There seems to a paradigm shift beginning with the media. For ex: yesterday, the AP and all of them jumped on the Romanoff disclosure. Normally, they would bury it as deep as possible.

And to hear Chris Matthews and Carville blow a gasket against him - and I have seen severel heretofore staunch defenders express real disappointment in him these last few day -

His little boat seems to've sprung a leak - and more democrats are running FROM him...they're running for the rail. The don't want to go down with him.

Did you see the clip in post #64?

if the GOP plays their cards right.

Then we may be in trouble.

Point was that impeachment is not “the last thing we need to do”. It should certainly remain an option if he keeps up the subversive Exe Order BS. Actually, if we gain the majority in House and Senate it will be most amusing to watch nobama being furious about being powerless until 2012. Quite the nice payback.

We need Lt. Col. Allen West in the pipeline - and on to the WH in the not to distant future - He's a strict Constitutionalist AND he knows who our enemy is and isn't afraid to call them what they are...and knows how to fight them.

I'd like to see 16 years of Palin/West, WEst/____

By then, the socialists would be sunk so far it would take them another 100 years to regain their equilibrium. Maybe by then, we will have progressed enough as a 'species' to recognize pure evil when it approaches

Woo..no I didn’t! I’ll have to look at that! Actually, I have noticed some grumbling against him in the press lately; and that’s something! A lot of people are so afraid of getting their hopes up too much after Fall 2008, I think.

The article refers to Sestak-type issues, which are entirely different.

You’re right, I’ve never heard even J. Carville sound so histerical; He was mad! Then there was Chris Mathews, with the “tingle up his leg”; he sounded mad too; he sounded maybe a little scared too!

Bravo! Thanks for that post. I’ve looked at some of the candidates but yours is a comprehensive list. And I share your enthusiasm for Allen West. Now THERE’s a leader.

well, you can get the book “free” autographed....then they ask you for a “donation”....they started out at $200.00..dropped down to $100.00...after I stopped laughing and I explained I’m retired living on a depleted IRA....they ask “how about $20.00”......I explained I already contribute to conservative web sites...*smiles*...they were very pleasant, but they were also on the fast track sales pitch.
