The significant increase in autism is a direct result of the broadening of the definition of autism.
It now includes all kinds of minor and major learning disabilities included within the autism spectrum.
That change in no way explains the magnitude of the increase that has been observed.
That’s what I believe. I have seen kids with real autism and I feel sorry for any parent who has to deal with this.
