Well netbooks now have 2GB-4GB memory already, and some are selling for as low as under $200.
Next month, Intel is bringing out a dual core Atom processor for netbooks. Those can be used for tablets as well.
So the processing power and the RAM to run Win 7 on tablets is already there, at very low prices too.
All the top netboook makers (Acer, Asus, MSI) are all binging out Win 7 tablets which they already displayed at Computex (Taiwan), just yesterday.

The same job could be accomplished with much less software. Most Microsoft software serves only Microsoft or the "Oh, wouldn't it be cool if" croud. Most of the "cool" stuff is not needed, even in the slightest, for most applications.

The bloatware doesn't really do anything important that 3.11 didn't.
