RE: Why did Stephany go to the room with Joran? Remember her father had given her $1,000 to buy a laptop? Maybe Joran, seeing this as his opportunity to get some much needed cash, lured her with the story that he had a laptop for sale. Would explain Stephany going up to the room willingly...to take a look at the laptop.

Although I don't know if it's accurate, I'm certain that I've read that he had her laptop when he was apprehended.
