Seriously, I don't get it. I see so many anti-Israel and anti-Semitic posts on the internet. Why not love our only real ally in the middle east?

It's because Israel represents the "salvation of the nations", for one thing.

And then, the One who is salvation for all individuals, is a Jew (namely Jesus, the Messiah of Israel).

And then, Israel will be the head nation, over all the other nations in the world, all other nations being "under" Israel, in the coming one-world government that will be set up on earth, with the Messiah at the head of it.

Lastly, the very existence of Israel represents the truth of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in that all things and all nations will be put under His feet and His control, and that Satan will be destroyed as a result.

SO ... antisemitism has been "Satanically inspired" from the beginning of Israel, down to the present time. There has been no other people and no other nation which has so consistently been persecuted and reviled and has had so many trying to destroy the nation.

It was thought that the destruction of Israel was completed in 70 A.D. (and shortly thereafter, too...) -- so much so that even many Christians who know that the Bible is true (back in the 1800s) -- actually could not believe what the Bible said -- in that the nation of Israel would come to be in existence again.

And yet, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did brig it back into existence again, just like He said He would.

Futhermore, even though it came back in existence again, many thought that the nation of Israel could not survive the onslaught of all the armies of its Muslim enemies, when it had no army/military at all (having not been a nation before that and not being allowed to have an army before that).

Yet, it survived, because the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was, once again, carrying out what He said He would do.

AND..., to "some Christians" the very existence of Israel is an embarrassment to their false theology that they teach in some of the churches. So, they work on behalf of the Palestinians, hoping that Israel will simply go away and/or wither away eventually.

To the Muslims, Israel represents a "slap in the face" to their false god of Allah -- and it says that the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- is the true God, because He protects and preserves Israel, as opposed to the false and evil idealogy of Islam.

To the rest of the unbelieving world (unbelieving of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), Israel represents the "coming judgement" upon all who refuse to listen to what the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob says.

AND SO..., it will be exactly like what the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob says -- in that "all nations of the world" will come against Israel -- and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will fight against all the nations of the world, on behalf of Israel -- and then set up Israel as the head and ruling nation over all those other nations of the world who have been against Israel.

That's why Israel and the Jews are so hated and have been so hated throughout history, from the time that there was only the 12 sons of Israel.

Since God has chosen Israel to make His will known to the world and for Him to rule the world through Israel -- all those people hate Israel, because they hate what God is and what God has said He will do through Israel.
