Seriously, I don't get it. I see so many anti-Israel and anti-Semitic posts on the internet. Why not love our only real ally in the middle east?

Because our oil masters hate Israel and we must toe their line. And check to see the hundreds of millions of dollars from the oil masters going into our institutions of “higher” learning such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and dozens of other prominent universities. Oil buys infuence.
It goes back much further than that. It goes back before Israel declared its existence in 1948. It goes back before the U.S. even existed, itself. It goes back before oil was used to power and run the world's machineery. It goes back before Islam even existed. It goes back before Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Romans. It goes back before Jacob had his 12 sons and the resulting twelve tribes of Israel. It goes back before Abraham. It goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden ... that's the point at which the "hatred" started ...

Spet 11, 2001 woke me up on that one especially when the palestinians were cheering the bombing of the NYC WTC. I have no sympathy for the palestinians and I don’t blame Israel on how they deal with them. Also God’s word mentions that Israel is the apple in his eye with a caveat that thos who bless Israel will be blessed while those who curse Israel will be cursed.

Israel as a nation and as a people -- was wrong and has been wrong, and is wrong today.
But, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not wrong -- and He has judged the nation (and people) of Israel through this present time and will continue judging them, until His judgment is fully completed (which it will be at the time of the Tribulation).
And then, at that time, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will take the nation of Israel and make it the head nation, over all the other nations in His one-world government, with the Messiah of Israel, ruling over all those other nations in the world, through Israel, and seated on the Throne of David, in Jerusalem.
