What is untrue about the story? I have read several articles. They all seem to be the same. If they are true and I am not saying they are. But if they are I don’t side with Israel. I don’t even side with America in every case. If your wrong your wrong. Show me where they are right.
You first statement is untrue. Israel did not attack a ship in international waters. They contacted the ship by radio and politely invited (using that word) the ship to dock nearby where ships are routinely inspected and processed through to their destinations. This is done under NATO authority in concert with Egypt. I watched the video of the Israelis talking to the ship, it is available on the net. Subsequently the ship refused to dock and attempted to proceed toward Gaza.
Israeli forces later boarded the ship without deadly weapons and were attacked by the peace activists who are assisting Hamas and the Hezbos. The activists want to break the blockade (also being enforced by Muslim Egypt until today) so bombs and other weapons can be smuggled into Gaza.
What exactly did Israel do wrong?
2. Bullet proof vests, night vision goggles and other clearly non civilian aid items have been discovered so far.
3. The ship was notified priot to boarding that an inspection team was going to board.
3. 50+ suspected terrorists being detained carried no identification BUT carried packets of large amounts of cash.
Oh yes....last but not least, knives, baseball bats and metal poles can and do kill. If someone approached me wielding any one of those threateningly, I'd unhesitatingly put 2 or 3 dead center mass.
