I don't understand - I guess this is oil coming from the LMRP but also from underneath it too?? Can someone explain?

Think of what Happens if you put your hand over the end of a running hose — the water splashes around your hand and looks like it is coming out the side of the hose instead of out of the end.

Basically they just put a big hand over the top of an oil spewing hose.
