According to BP, they only hope to capture 80% of the leaking oil.
They do not want a tight seal at this point,
due to concerns regarding the structural integrity of the well itself.
All of this is a temporary stop-gap measure
ntil the relief wells are drilled.

Moving the cap toward the well, the cap is visible on the Ocean 2 cam now, and the well is visible on the ROV following the Cap.

Well that means there is a 100 % chance ti will be deemed a failure once it happens. That means you cannot find out what is going on from any news outlet about how well they are doing. This is setting new records for the amount of misinformation being brought out to the public from all sides.
