That would only be a problem if the person in question were so petty as to use the power of the presidency to settle personal scores.

I don't Sarah Palin would be the problem in a situation like that -- it'd be all the buzz-cut, ripped-and-toned guys with extensive martial arts and extreme-fighting experience who, unbidden, might hasten to do her family a favor, out of a sense of what's right, and recognizing the fundamental malice and cleverness serving wickedness in McGinniss's persona. That could get uncomfortable for the guy who rented him the property, esp. if it's also true that the landlord is a) a Democrat who b) is on the record as disliking the Palin family for any reason or c) is known to have assisted Rahm Emanuel's Netroots "Ankle Biters" at any point in demonizing and blackening Sarah Palin and harassing her with specious "ethics complaints". Of which last-mentioned campaign McGinniss's book stunt looks like a continuation.

McGinniss’s goal is to drive a stake between Todd and Sarah.

Then, Sarah will have no choice but to fall in love with him.

He is stalking Sarah. The book is a cover.
