By jove, I believe you've got it!! They have plausible deniability by using a middle man. They also have an opportunity to smear the Clintons for going beyond what they requested.
The Clintons think the are just doing favors to call in at some future date.
They do not realize that Zer0 is far more than a personally ambitious competitor-- he is the handpicked puppet for the new world order.

You just have to watch some of Hillary’s recent appearences in foreign countries to diminish her hopes for 2012. She looks AWFUL! And now she’s telling people that it’s OK to tax the wealthy MORE.
With all her money, can’t she afford a hairdresser on call?
