The blacks I see come into my local range usually rent the fully-automatic AK or M16. They blow through $150 of ammo in about 20 mins and leave feeling like they’ve accomplished something.
Meanwhile, the idiot redneck shooting his .44 Magnum in the stall next to me bumps my stand and puts the sights on my .308 off kilter and force me to spend another hour getting it dead nuts at 100 yds. There’s no shortage of stupid at the range, regardless of race. Thank God for range officers!
I’ve had a few jokers scare the h3ll out of me a few times I suppose.
It’s all fun and games until I let off a few rounds with the Mosin Nagant. Then the place is all mine for a while.

If a bump knocks your sights off kilter you have a sight problem. You might also want to consider zeroing your .308 at a longer range.
Was just about finished putting a box of .38s through my revolver when the guy in the next stall steps around and says, "Man, I got some bad ammo." He hadn't hit his target yet.
I asked him if he minded me firing it. It was a .44 Mag w/8" barrel! I plugged three in 3", turned to him and said, "Yep, bad ammo."
Handed it back and left.
