Yeah, that’s just some holes or cracks you are looking at the pipe continues on but can’t been seen in the video feed. The length of pipe laying on the gulf floor still has flow through it from the wellhead since it’s still connected hence they did inserted some pipe into it (pipe laying on ocean floor) to pick up some of the oil for recovery but what bypassed the inserted pipe or flows from other damaged areas(?) flows free to the open gulf waters.
If there wasn’t a kink in the pipe at the wellhead (slows the flow), things would probably be much worse.

I see what you mean. Took a while for Post #220 video link to load for me. An unexplained origin of a plume of oil coming from a fracture in the gulf floor adds to oil slicks spreading faster than the well in question can spill.
Scary stuff if BP’s negligence caused a new oil seep from their damage well to elsewhere on the sea floor.
