They are wearing protective gear because of the lighter hydrocabons being emitted by the oil. The dispersants are nothing more than detergent, one end of the molecule oil soluble, one end water soluble. The same way good old lye soap works. I doubt fish will like it, but it breaks the slick down into conjoined molecules that bacteria will ingest. Way too much hype going on, relax FRiend. I love to fish and scuba dive and eat fish. The fish will repopulate as the Gulf cleans itself. Of course all of the missing burn booms would have helped but this administratin will never be held accountable.

Why did the head of the EPA say that we have no idea what the long term effects of the volume of this disbursement material used will be? She also stated that the EPA would no longer endorse the useage of this disbursement.
