I was just pointing out that organic foods are not necessarily any safer, which you implied...they can have just as much bacterial contamination as conventional food (and a number of studies have shown they have more, because of they way they are processed).
My own garden is mostly organic, but it is mainly because I have a lot of citrus and like citrus butterflies...so I can't even use the biologically approved organic pesticides, like Bt, because they will kill caterpillars. Also, we have a lot of honey bees, and I don't want to harm them.
There are a number of approved pesticides you can use and still be organic, but if you want the beneficial insects, you cannot even use many of approved organic insecticides.
If I implied that the organic foods are safer, I was incorrect and I apologize for the misunderstanding. Organic or natural does not equate safe. Most lethal poisons are in an organic form :)
And I have used, successfully, lavender and marigolds as pest repellent for no other reason than curiosity.
